We are very excited to announce what is our FIRST co-release:
Debut 7″ by Antiguo Régimen from Valencia. 3 Pop / New wave / Post punk songs with influences from bands like The Wake, The Sound, Chameleons or spanish Décima Víctima.
“Lyrical references to concepts, movements, theories, slogans and other post punk classics are inevitable, as with titles like La Formación De La Sombra (The Forming Of The Shadow) (almost a theory that combines architecture and the origins of evil / failures of the contemporary world, like an Antonioni film) or Miedo Al Ser (Fear Of Being), attributable as to Sören Kierkegaard as to a “Cronenberg-esque” movement of the New Flesh (the fear of biological changes and virus-like mutation). La Formación De La Sombra is a direct kick, with synth effects and bass and guitar alternating in the leading role, in the manner of the Sound and the like. Alternatively, Miedo Al Ser has a relaxed beginning –in appearance– to break in the perfect moment, and refering explicitly to metallurgy (couldn’t be more post-punk). Our favorite, however, is Anoche Escupí Azul (Last Night I Spat Blue), which already has a video piece by Paco Caballer that looks like an apology to bluring and feels great to the song.” Vanishing Point
500 Copies. Co-released with Flexidiscos (sp) and Discodrome (uk). Promotioned by Infodisco.
Artwork by Toni Inglés. Printed in OBSOLETE LETTEPRESS:
“Print in black ink by combining linoleum and photopolymer. Second “print” without ink and using lead type. We have also printed a special edition limited to two colors, combining black / white gradient.”
